House and front railings. Late C18-early C19 with alterations of 1984.
Squared limestone laid in alternate thick and thin courses with red brick
plinth, gables and stacks. Pantile roof. Wrought-iron railings on ashlar
plinth. Central entrance hall front, originally with rear wing.
2 storeys with attic, 3 bays; symmetrical. Plinth. Squared limestone
quoins. Original doorcase with panelled pilasters supporting open pediment
with radial fanlight over C20 door in reveal, flanked by C20
16-pane casements in original openings with stucco cambered arches and
projecting cills. Similar first floor windows, with a narrower 12-pane over
the entrance. Lead drainpipe to right with ornamental rainwater head

inscribed: W E, probably re-used. Plain wooden eaves board. End

stacks. Gables have pointed attic windows, that to left with original
Gothick glazing, that to right with C20 casement. Interior: open well
staircase with wreathed handrail and column-on-vase balusters with square
knops. Railings flanking entrance: baluster-shaped main posts with urn
finials and scrolled bracket supports; vertical bars with fleur-de-lys
finials above single top rail.
