House and shop. C18 or earlier much altered in C19 in Rothschild estate
manner. Colourwashed brick, the upper part roughcast, LH gable tilehung.
Tiled roof, with bands of fishscale tiles to LH wing. 2 chimneys with
oversailing heads, the LH one with 2 open slits between shafts. Gable over
2nd window from RH. 2-storeys. Projecting gabled wing to LH with
Rothschild crest in panel above. 3-light 1st floor window, larger 3-light
basement to ground floor. 4 bay section to RH, 2-light upper casements, one
altered, alternating with 4 oval plaster panels with shallow incised
figures representing the four seasons. Irregular ground floor openings
some altered. 1-storey extension to RH, older wing to rear.
