Marlborough Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse, late C18. Banded flint and ashlar with half-hipped corrugated
asbestos sheet roof and central brick stack. Symmetrical, 2 storeys, 3 bays.
C20 2-light casements with glazing bars, those to the ground floor being under
stone lintels with keystones. Upper floor central blind opening. Central C20
door.

Internal features (RCHM): chamfered ceiling beam. Although superficially much
altered in the C20 this is basically a good house and could be restored to near
original external appearance. It was originally thatched. (RCHM, Dorset, vol.IV,
