Farmhouse. C18 origin, enlarged to north in C19. Original range - now service
rooms, has brick walls and thatched roof. The C19 addition, an L-shaped building
attached to the original range, has walls partly of brick on a flint base, and
partly of flint and brick banding. Thatched roof - 2 brick stacks, one at north
end and one in the angle of the 2 wings. One storey and attic. Main range,
at right angles to road, has 6-panel door in trellised porch. Ground floor has
2 casements with glazing bars. Attic has 2 gabled dormers with similar casements.
Range parallel to road has one casement with glazing bars on ground floor and
one gabled dormer with similar casements in attic. Boundary wall to road, of
brick, on flint base, with rounded capping. RCHM Monument 3. (Dorset. Vol.III)
