Pair of semi detached cottages. 1843. Dressed limestone walls.
Thatch roof with gable ends and two thatch outshuts at rear. Stone
staoks at gable ends. 1½ storeys. 4 windows in total, regular
fenestration, 2 light wood casements with glazing-bars, wood cills.
Ashlar stone voussoirs to ground floor, eyebrow dormers above.
Front doors are placed on gable ends. No. 2 has a stone porch with
gabled clay tile roof, C20. Interior: each dwelling has a
living kitchen with small pantry and staircase, partitioned off at
the back, and a projecting outhouse. Part of group all built
by John T.Trenchard. (R.C.H.M. Dorset II, p. 262 (6)).
