ST 50 NE WOOLCOMBE

II
Detached Farmhouse. C17, with C18 re-walling and C19 alterations. Brick walls
in Flemish bond, with timber-framing at west end. Thatch roof, gabled at left
hand and hipped at right hand. Rebuilt stack at left hand gable, repointed
stack at right hand ridge. 1 1/2 storeys. 5 windows (irregular fenestration)
2-light cast-iron casements with glazing-bars. Wood cills. Gauged brick
arches. Blocked round-headed entrance of gauged brickwork, left of centre.
Main lobby-entrance, right of centre. C20 porch. Inner door, C20. Plank
stable-door on rear wall. Interior: two back-to-back fireplaces, one with
chalk-block jambs, one with brick jambs, both with wooden lintels over.
Ceiling-beam in right end room, of convex section with a notched underside.
