Late C16 early C17. Timber-framed walls with plastered infil - part rebuilt
in brick, thatched roof, brick stack with ornamental cap. One storey and attics.
Two-room plan - the service room divided to form pantry and buttery, (c/f Manor
Cottage). Chimney stack and end gable wall rebuilt in C19. Main north
elevation has, on ground floor, two casement windows with lead lights. Attic
has one modern replacement dormer with casements with lead lights. Entrance
in east gable wall. Ledged door with glass panel. Ground floor has one
casement window with lead lights. Attic has two similar windows.
Main ground floor room has deep chamfered ceiling beams with ogee stops. On
first floor, original timber-framed partition survives, with door opening.
Opening in timber-framed wall adjoining stacks suggests a newel stair once
here. C18 plank and muntin partition on first floor. Modern attached garage
under construction at time of survey.
