Late C18 - maybe of earlier origin. Rendered walls, slate roof. Two storeys. Ground
floor has central door with simple classical surround and pedimented hood. Left of the
door is one double-hung sash window with glazing bars. Right of the door is a 3-light
double-hung sash window with glazing bars, - probably a later insertion. Plat band at
first floor level. First floor has 3 double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. Left -
(east) of the main building a passage leads to the rear. The room above this, now part
of No 2 is similar in character to No 1, ie of earlier C18 date. Rendered walls, tiled
roof with stone eaves course. Brick dentil course to eaves. Brick stack, Venetian
window with glazing bars. RCHM Monument 43.
