House and shop. C18. Timber framed and weather-boarded with plain tiled roof. Two storeys on brick base with hipped roof and stacks to centre right and to end left. Regular fenestration to house portion with three glazing bar sashes on first floor and two on ground floor and central panelled door with semi-circular fanlight and open pediment on pilasters. Shop to right with glazing bar sash on first floor and C20 bay on ground floor with plate glass windows. Half-glazed corner door to right. Multi-paned shop window to right return.

Originally built as a mill house (a nearby windmill is illustrated in early prints of Hawkhurst), the property became a public house ('The Flying Horse', later 'The Weald of Kent') and a shop by early C20.
