Late C16 early C17. Walls part timber-framed with brick infil, part cob, part
brick. Thatched roof, brick stack - this and the north gable wall recently
rebuilt. Originally a two-room cottage with open hall with smoke-bay, and
service rooms with loft over. In late C17-C18 the hall floored over and chimney
inserted in smoke-bay. One storey and attic. Late single-storey lean-to on
west, brick walls, part plastered, under thatched catslide roof.
Main east elevation has ledged door and two casement windows with glazing bars.
Internally, fireplace largely reconstructed but old lintol re-used. Exposed
chamfered ceiling beams in main ground floor room - not framed into main structure.
Timber-framed partitions with wattle and daub infil on ground floor and attic.
