Detached cottage. Probably C17. Walls a mixture of stone, brick
and plastered cob. Front wall buttressed. Half-hipped thatched
roof; brick stack just off centre. One storey and attic. Open
brick porch with thatched roof; ledged door. Ground floor has
3 casement windows with glazing bars. Attic has one dormer with
similar casements. Main ground floor room has large open fire-
place with timber lintel and bread oven. Some exposed ceiling
beams. Possibly of open-hall origin.
