II


Early C18 house probably built on earlier foundations. 2 storeys and attics in
gable end. Red brick with grey headers. Thatched roof with 1 dormer. String
course 5 sashes with cambered heads glazing bars intact and keystones. Part plinth
of large stone blocks possibly from a medieval building on the site. C19 thatched
gabled porch. C19 L-wing to rear. 2 storeys brick and stone with slate roof. The
interior has spine beams, a simple inglenook fireplace and Early C18 'dogleg'
staircase with scrolled tread ends and 2 turned balusters to each step.
