Description

SY 9179
15/171 KIMMERIDGE KIMMERIDGE VILLAGE
20.11.59
Barn and Cowhouse
south of Kimmeridge
Farm. (Formerly
listed as "Barns at
Kimmeridge Farm")

II

Probably C18. Stone walls, stone slate roofs. Barn single-storey, Cowhouse two
storeys. Ground falls sharply to south, so that first floor of cowhouse is at
ground level on north side. This elevation has a row of pent-roofed dormers giving
access to hay loft. On south side, a row of stable doors and unglazed windows at
lower level.
Barn at right angles to Cowhouse, has three-large openings divided by stone piers
and spanned by timber lintels - one replaced by a steel joist. Good group.
