Late C18/early C19, extended to left in mid-C19 and to right in C20. Two
storeys, cotswold rubble except for rendered C20 part. Stone tile roof with
4 brick chimneys. Four windows on first floor, 3 on ground floor, casements
except for sash in C20 part. Two doors, left hand one segment headed and
half-glazed, central one flush panelled with modern bracketted flat hood.
C20 ground floor has wooden partition and door. Low mid C19 railings to
road, arrow head type with urn-standards. Tablet to right of door inscribed
"W H Davis, Poet, Born at Newport, Mon 1871, Died in this house 1940.
