ASKHAM
Brook Villa and stable adjoining

GV
II

Former farmhouse and stable. Mid C18 with later stable. Mixed calciferous sandstone rubble walls, under graduated green slate roof with banded stone chimney stacks. Two storeys, two bays, two bays with lower right two-bay stable. Central C20 door and C20 casement windows in original stone surround. Stable has off-centre plank door and left casement window under wooden lintels. Right slit vents on two levels.

Internal C17 datestone uncovered by owner is thought to have come from earlier building on this site. Rear right-angle extension to collapsed barn is not of interest.
