Headstone. Circa 1779 to William Bedal. Sandstone slab c.0.5 metre high.
East face has moulded surround, with domed centre to head, to commemorative
inscription. West face has higher scroll-topped head over corniced panel
containing well-cut verse 'From my sad Cradle/to my Sable Chest/Poor pilgrim
I did find/few years of Rest/But now I rest my soul ...' which continues
below ground level.
