Milestone. Late C18. Painted ashlar. Square-section block, c.0.5 metre high
with domed pyramidal top; set diagonally to road. Durham 23 painted and
incised on west face and Bowes 6 on east face in larger letters; similar
legends incised on rear faces, the Durham with larger letters.
