Cottage. (Formerly Listed as
21 6 62 House and shop west of Kings
Head Inn)

GV II

House and shop. Early C16 or earlier Hall house with two crosswings. Timber
framed and plastered with ashlar lines. Red plain tiled roofs. The Hall has
a red brick chimney stack with three octagonal shafts. Left external chimney
stack with two octagonal shafts. Two storeys to right and left crosswings,
that to left with single storey lean-to extension, one storey and attics to
central hall with one gabled dormer. 1:1:1 window range of C19 small paned
casements. Flat roofed shop bay to centre left, to right of which is a glazed
shop door. C20 gabled red tiled porch and C20 door to right return.
Incorporated ranges at rear. Reputed to contain a carved wall post, moulded
beams, hollow chamfered tie beams and original inglenook fireplace. RCHM 6.
