GV II
House, now 2 cottages. C17/early C18, altered in late C19 in Tudor Revival
style. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with handmade red plain tiles. 3 bays
facing NW with central stack. Full width catslide to rear, and small extension
beyond. 2 storeys and attics. Each cottage has one C19 casement on the ground
floor and one on the first floor, and a C19 4-panel door, the upper panels
glazed, in a C19 rustic gabled porch with fretted bargeboards, moulded finial
and pendant. C19 fretted and pierced eaves board. The stack has a C19 moulded
coping and 3 octagonal shafts in Tudor style. In rear catslide roof, one C19
casement in a gabled dormer and 3 C20 casements in flat-roofed dormers.
Chamfered axial beams, boxed on upper floor. C20 grates. Beaded and battened
doors to stairs. Frame mainly concealed by internal finishes.
