TQ 6171 10/17 Church Cottages
(Nos 1, 2 and 3)

Nos 2 and 3 incorporate a Wealden House with an unusually long service end at
the south. No 1 is probably C17. Restored timber-framed cottages with plaster
infilling on a base of red brick and flints. Hipped tiled roof. Two storeys
and 7 windows in all. Modern casement windows. Doorcases with modern hoods over.
The first floor of the 2 easternmost window bays of the east cottage and of the
west window bay of the centre cottage oversails on brackets. The cottages occupy
an important position to the right of the entrance to the church.
