Large rambling complex, still mainly of C17 and C18 proportions. Originally
a statesman's house, which is now the south wing, to which has been added
converted farm buildings and modern additions. Colour-washed stone rubble,
hipped slate roofs, mostly modernised windows, but the whole retains old
proportions, and is said to contain C17 and C18 woodwork.
