C18. 2 storey lodge of stucco with hipped Welsh slate roof. Ground floor
small chamfered and bonded quoins, first floor level narrow stringcourse,
moulded and modillion cornice, ball finial at roof apex. East front has
2 sash windows with thick glazing bars, central 6 fielded panel door in
surround of engaged Doric columns, entablature with triglyphs and guttae;
pediment.
Red brick gatepiers with carved stone pineapple finials above cornices
and blocking courses. Similar secondary piers, formerly with stone ball
finials, and outer pair of piers witn stone vases. All gatepiers now rebuilt
on a new site set back from road, with modern brickwork.
