Late C18. 3 storey brick house with slate roof. Shop to ground floor and 3 unevenly
spaced windows to 1st and 2nd floors - sash in reveals, plaster lintels with keystone
and plain cills. All glazing bars intact. Fine early C19 shop front. Left hand
bay rectangular with quadrant ends, many panes, and wide sloping brass cill. Entablature
over has 'Cox and Robinson' in good raised letters in frieze and, in the cornice,
crimped fringes and bobbin reel moulding. Central doorway is flanked by pilasters
having rosettes in their capitals (a third similar capital to left of large shop
window). Irregular 6 panel door with decorative glazing in rectangular light over.
Panelled reveals and soffit. To the right is a shallow 3 light bow window with
many panes and carrying a large mortar and pestle over. This window retains its
sliding shutters. Gas lamp fixture projects above entrance. Some late C18/early
C19 shelving retained inside the shop.

Nos 59 to 77 (odd) High Street form a group.
