SU 78 NE HAMBLEDEN BURROW FARM

6/58 Keeper's Cottage

House. C17, altered. Timber framed with brick infill, the left gable
and gable to front right rebuilt in brick C19. Old tile roof, central
chimney of thin brick. T-plan with gabled cross bay to right. 1½
storeys, 2 bays to front. Left bay has blocked door and window;
right bay has 2-light wooden casements, the upper with glazing bars,
and old board door to left. Brick lean-to along right side. 1947
extension in angle to rear. Interior reveals timber framing, the right bay
with wide flat joists, the left bay with chamfered spine beam. Rear
gable of right bay originally jettied.
