1842. W J Donthorne, architect. Norman style, built of stone with a slate
roof. Entrance tower in centre with 2 round turrets and machicolations.
Door with portcullis above set in arched portal. 3 large round-arched
windows either side with flanking colonettes. Round turrets at corners
of facade resting on battered plinths.
