Description


BALSHAM WEST WRATTING ROAD TL 5850 (East side) 11/33 No 4 (formerly 22.11.67 listed as Post Office and Shop) GV II Cottage. Late C17, renovated. Timber framed, plaster rendered. Tiled roof, half-hipped formerly thatched. Ridge stack of two diagonally set grouped shafts. Late C17 lobby entry plan with C19 shop to room on the road end. One storey and attic. Two modern dormers. Three ground floor horizontal sliding sashes and doorway to lobby. Interior: exposed framing, some inserted, and abutting hearths including an inglenook and a c.1840 marble hearth to parlour.
