TL 4568 COTTENHAM BROAD LANE

House, late C17 or early C18. Restored c.1980 and extended at rear. Soft red
brick with broad mortar courses, some repaired, and hipped roof with new tiles
and original, ridge stack, the base with an original, single round headed arched
recess to each side. Dentil eaves cornice. Two storeys with band between
storeys. Four windows at first floor, three possibly in original openings. At
ground floor the window openings retain the original arches to later fesestration,
including a C19 horizontal sliding sash. Early C19 doorcase to doorway to centre
bay. Interior not seen.
