C17 house. Coursed stone with steeply pitched Collyweston stone roof with
coped gable ends. Two storeys and attic. Five bays. First floor 2-light
wood mullion/transom casements, ground floor 2-light stone mullion windows
with cornice over. Moulded string course below eaves and raised over first
floor windows. Central doorway with moulded stone architrave and entablature
with pulvinated frieze. One small hipped dormer.
Internal end stacks with cornices. Two 3 and 4-light stone mullion windows
in end wall.
Long C19 stone wing at rear with stone mullion windows. Staircase wing at
rear with open well stairs with heavy moulded balusters, moulded rail and
square reveals. Ovolo moulded chamfers to ceiling beams in hall. VCH Northamptonshire
