ST 68 NW ALVESTON FORTY ACRE LANE (south side)

House. c.1800. Rubble, rendered with scored joints ashlar and stone
dressings including quoin strips, slate roof with raised coped verges,
gable stacks and 2 stacks to centre. Classical style. 2 storeys and
5 windows, all 16-pane sashes in stone surround with keystone and cill, centre
3 bays broken forward, 2-storey central ashlar porch has plain pilasters and
blind window to each side, fielded panelled door with plain fanlight, cornice
and open pediment, Venetian window at 1st floor with centre light blind, and
blind windows to each side with keystone and cill. Interior: internal
shutters.
