Farmhouse, now house. Complete rebuilding in early C18 of probably earlier house, with later C18, C19 and C20 alterations and additions. Limestone rubble, rendered, render lined out as ashlar on south front, stone dressings, 2-span pantiled roof with gable stacks, some double Roman tiles to rear. L-plan including rear wing. South front of 2½ storeys and 6 bays, 2 centre bays broken forward, to left and right, ground floor has two 18-pane sashes with keystones, dying voussoirs and cills, thick glazing bars flat on outside, ovolo-moulded inside, first floor right has 2 similar sashes, 1st floor left has 2 later C18 sashes with thin glazing bars and same surround; central tall 8-panelled fielded door with rusticated jambs, ovolo-moulded lintel, heavy triple keystone with lantern, pulvinated frieze and segmental pediment, to each side a narrow 12-pane sash with thick glazing bars, triple keystone and cill, two 18-pane sashes above, thick glazing bars to left, thinner to right in same surround, pediment over central 2 bays, cornice over bays to sides, 2 hipped 2-light dormers with ball finials, plinth and projecting long and short quoins. Left return rendered with C20 window at ground floor left, datestone 1624 set at upper level with illegible initials, cornice returned short distance. Attached to front right, pair of square gate piers in limestone rubble with stone dressings about one metre high with cornice and large ball finial, flight of 6 stone steps between. Right return has large cellar door with segmental head to left, double external stair to C20 door with flat wooden hood, small C19 sash with margin glazing above; 2-storey rear wing to right has 2 C19 cross windows with leaded lights in upper sections at ground floor, 2 sashes at first floor with plate glass lower sections, upper sections with 9-pane thick glazing bars to left, thin glazing bars to right, keystones; cornice returned short distance from front, coping to rear wing, all rendered, lean-to attached to right rear with C20 door and 2-light casement with iron stanchions and wooden shutters. Rear has to left large early C18 stair light segmental headed, 32-pane with thick glazing bars and keystone; to right, a later C19 cross window with keystone and iron stanchions in upper section, ground floor right large C20 window with keystone; in angle of L-plan, single-storey lean-to with flat-roofed addition and C20 window. Rear wing has first floor right 8-pane C19 sash with keystone, single storey addition to rear with hipped double Roman tiled roof, rear wall coped, gable end of wing with stack. Interior: front left room panelled, egg and dart cornice, shell cupboard with shaped shelves; front right room panelled in plaster with eaved panel over fireplace, heavy modillion cornice, dado rail and shutters to all windows. Open-well stair to rear with turned balusters and moulded handrail, panelling ramped up to sides with pilasters at intervals; moulded plaster ceiling in wide entry hall.
