Farmhouse. Dated 1720 on rainwater head on rear wing, with later C18 additions
to either side of rear wing, some C20 alterations. Coursed squared limestone
rubble with stone dressings, stucco, slate mansard roof with stone ridge, raised
coped verges, gable stacks and 2 central stacks, some pantiles and double Roman
tiles. T-plan formed by short rear wing. 2 storeys and 9 windows, all 18-pane
sashes in exposed boxes with thick glazing bars, stone segmental heads, arranged
in pairs, centre bay broken forward, stuccoed and lined out, with tall 6-panelled
fielded and glazed door in plain recessed surround, 18-pane round-headed sash
above with splayed glazing bars, keystones in stucco; cornice and shallow pediment
over central bay, cornice over outer bays returned to sides, plinth, gabled dormer
to left. Right return has single storey lean-to to rear of main house, with C20
glazed door, double Roman tiled roof and stack, 2nd single storey pantiled lean-to
to right with C20 window and door. Rear has central wing with cornice returned
and small, steep gable, panelled and glazed door in C20 porch, 24-pane sash at
first floor and sash with thin glazing bars in attic of gable; later C18 2-storey
lean-to to each side of wing, to right with C20 window at ground and first floor,
to left with C20 French window and similar first floor window, both with pitched
double Roman tiled roofs, left side of addition to left has first floor sash;
gabled dormer to left. Interior: not inspected.
