Villa in planned group. c1827 by John Foulston. Stucco with
stucco detail including plinth and mid-floor string; dry slate
hipped roofs with projecting eaves; tall rendered stacks, over
front and rear walls. L-shaped double-depth plan.
2 storeys; 2-window-range entrance front plus 2-window-range
service wing set back on the left. Original or copy 12-pane
hornless sashes. Large distyle in antae Doric porch with
unfluted columns and plain frieze under left-hand window;
doorway with panelled architrave with corner blocks set back
within, and with glazed and panelled door. Right-hand return
is 2-window range iron balconettes to 1st floor.
INTERIOR: not inspected but said to be very fine.
Forecourt railings of whole group included as separate item.
This is the most prominent villa in a fine group.
