House in street, formerly part of Dewes House (qv). C17 and C18. Limestone
rubble, concrete tile. To street is in two sections, low left and higher,
right; first part has a small horizontal casement and a 6-pane fixed light,
formerly a larger opening to wood lintel. Right section in 2 storeys has the
2-light casements with flush beaded stone mullion in moulded architraves
flanking lower 3-panel door to moulded stone architrave; small horizontal light
over left casement and small stair window to eaves at right. Large brick stack
at gable break between roofs, and external brick stack to left; roof lay-
light. Back has one 12-pane sash over later doors and windows; gable end has an
8-pane sash and to left a 2-light casement, also single attic light left of
stack. Right of stack are two 8-pane sashes. Interior not inspected. Origi-
nally a service wing to Dewes House.
