SE 09 SW REDMIRE REDMIRE

11/66 Priory House

House. Dated 1743, but probably re-faced in early C19. Roughcast coursed
rubble, stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 5 bays. Central 4-panel door in
ashlar Tuscan doorcase with frieze inscribed 'DUM SPIRO SPERO J S 1915'.
Sash windows with glazing bars under monolithic sandstone lintels. Sundial
between bays 3 and 4 and, above, stone with weathered inscription
" H 174(3) ". Stacks at ends and between bays 4 and 5.
