9/89 Central Stores and awning

CV II

House, shop and awning. Mid and late C19. Coursed rubble, stone slate
roof, cast iron. House and shop: 2 storeys, 3 bays. Quoins. Ground floor:
central C20 glazed shop door flanked by 2 late C19 cast-iron shop windows
each of 4 round-headed lights. Part-glazed door to right. First floor:
4-pane sash windows. Shaped kneeler, ashlar coping, end stack right. In
front of shop, late C19 glazed cast-iron awning with 4 fluted columns with
tulip capitals supporting fascia with Art Nouveau decoration surmounted by
cresting, part of which was missing at time of re-survey. Included for
group value.
