21/209 The King's Arms


Hotel. 1734 on datestone. Coursed rubblestone, stone slate roof. 2
parallel ranges under M-shaped roof. 3 storeys, 4 bays. Rusticated quoins.
6-panel door in stone surround with pulvinated frieze and cyma cornice

beneath datestone with inscription: I E .Plate glass sashes in stone
surrounds throughout. Gable coping, shaped kneelers, end and ridge stacks.
Interior: joggled voussoirs to fireplace. Double arch at bottom of open-
string dogleg staircase with column on vase balusters.
