Formerly large house, now 4 houses. c1845. Ashlar, slate hipped roof. Central
staircase plan. Greek revival style. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central porch of
4 Ionic columns and entablature; 5 panel door, upper panel glazed; rectangular
fanlight with geometrical glazing. Left-hand c1935 entrance. Wedge lintels
to 2 tall ground floor windows with imitation voussoirs; sashes. Upper floor
cill band. 3 upper floor windows; sashes. Central bay breaks forward slightly,
as does moulded cornice. 2 ridge stacks. To left is recessed service wing
2 storeys, 2 bays. Left- and right-hand c1935 entrances. 2 ground floor and
2 upper floor windows are smaller, but imitate those of main block; 16 pane
sashes to upper floor. Hipped roof, right of centre ridge stack. Interior
to No 4: dog-leg staircase, stick balusters, wreathed moulded handrail. Pair
of ashlar gatepiers to No 4 has scrolled consoles to curved flanking walls which
are punctuated by less elaborate piers.
