NEW STREET (north-west side)
No 15

GV
II
Mid C19. Brown brick. Pitched slate roof. Three storeys. Three bays: modern windows. Modern shopfronts.

New Street was laid out during the last decade of the C18, after the completion of the Selby Toll Bridge in 1792, which provided much improved access from the river front to the town centre. This building stood empty for several years during the late C20, before being renovated sensitively into two modern C19 style shop units
