Kitchen, swimming pool and gymnasium block. 1907. Coursed rubble and ashlar
dressings. Slate roofs with coped gabled and kneelers. Various chimney stacks.
North front, to school yard, has to right a double gabled wing, the outer gable
projects, with 2 central doorways, one partially blocked, in chamfered surrounds
with hood moulds. To the right a 2-light mullion window with plain sashes, and to
the left a smaller similar window. Above a single sash with either side 2 light
mullion window with plain sashes. To the left a taller range, with 3, 2 light
cross casements, and above 3 smaller similar windows. To the left again, the
large projecting swimming pool block with to the north a large open bicyle shed
with 4 pillars. Set back to the left a further wing with a partly glazed hipped
roof, and 5, 2 light casements. This block was the earliest school kitchen in
Bradford, built to serve the surrounding schools.
