1/22 North Dean Cottage

II

House, 1819. Hammer-dressed stone with stone slate roof. Single storey
structure with symmetrical facade of 3 bays. Central bay breaks forward and has
doorway with pedimented coped gable enclosing plaque which reads 'Erected by the
Trustees of the North Dean Wood A.D, 1819'. Each of the other bays has a large
sash window of 4 panes with projecting sill, and square healed gutter brackets
to eaves at front. Large ashlar stack to gable end of first bay. Roof has coped
gables with kneelers. Connected with charitable trust for the poor of Stainland
and Greetland.
