II


Large detached house. Mid Cl9. Ashlar frontage with plinth and moulded string
course. flipped slate roof with heavily moulded eaves cornice. Two storeys. Three bay
symmetrical facade, with central bay breaking forward slightly. Slender central, open
porch with frieze, cornice, and blocking course which ties in with string course.
Round arched openings with keystone. Square columns. Sunk panel decoration to
columns and spandrels. Panelled door with semi-circular fanlight. Sash windows with
architrave surround. Ground floor square bay to left and right elevations. Rear part
is of hammer dressed stone.
