Detached cottage, formerly school. Dated 1830. Rubble, hipped thatch roof. A small rectangular unit set gable-end to and set back from the street. One storey, scattered fenestration. The long front, to the S has 3-light segmental-headed casements flanking the C20 glazed door in a glazed porch under swept-down thatch; there is one further light to the right. The far gable has a 4-light casement with central wood mullion, and at the street end are 2 casements; beneath the larger one of these is an ashlar panel inscribed 'UPWEY INFANTS SCHOOL 1830'. The back has a central brick stack at the eaves. INTERIOR: nothing noted of historical interest.
