House with shop, now restaurant. c1820-50. Painted brick, with
brick stacks to slate roof.
3 storeys, but with parallel-roofed front range having gabled
half dormer making 2 storeys with attic. 1-window front, with
broad panelled piers on ground floor flanking 2 windows with
sloping sills, recessed double door flanked by slender
cast-iron columns, entablature over all; oriel above, with
horned plate-glass sashes and moulded cornice, supported by
shaped wood brackets. Horned plate-glass sash to half dormer,
with bargeboards and finial to gable.
Bracketed beam ends to right-hand gable, the right-hand return
having 2 semicircular arched ground-floor doorways and 2
hipped full-height canted bays to upper floors, with
plate-glass sashes, string courses and modillioned cornicing.
