These two houses and No 1 Wesley Street (qv) are a block of C18 dwelling houses but are now used as offices. Built of ashlar, stone slated, three storeys. Six windows, hung sashes with glazing bars, cills are part of plain string courses on first and second floors. Two doors of four fielded panels with three-light rectangular fanlights. Four windows on ground floor. Plinth. Kneelers. This block is very plain, with no architectural details, but it is an unaltered example of its date.

Nos 36 to 40 (even) form a group with Nos 43 to 47 (odd).
