Barn to Hunsworth Lodge

Barn with timber framing. C.17 or earlier with C.18 or early C.19
walling. Rubble walls. Stone slate roof. Elliptical arched
doorway. 5 bays. 4 complete timber frames with wall plates and
braced posts, and king post trusses braced to ridge. Outshut to
rear with aisle-ties on to wall plates. Two trusses have extended
king post, one has no king post but principal rafters cross at apex
and are pegged, one truss has been replaced. Roughly hewn timbers.
Pegged joints, carpenters marks. At right end studding with wattle
and plaster still survives. Some timbers have been replaced.
