II

Boundary stone. C17 or earlier. Stone. Square-section monolith approx. 100 cm
tall with square recess in one side and uneven top. Apparently the "mearstone"
recorded in 1688 as a boundary stone of the Manor of Tong "with a whole in itt
lying at the topp of Wiskithill". It appears to have been moved a little way
from its original position.

XVIII, October 1915.
