School, now 2 dwellings. Dated 1810 on parapet; altered. Sandstone ashlar,
slate roof. L-plan formed by 3-unit main range with wing added to rear of
left end. Two storeys; symmetrical facade with slightly recessed centre with
shaped parapet flanked by wider outer bays with pseudo-pediments; lst-floor
band, and banded rustication to ground floor; the centre has 2 doorways, with
panelled doors, overlights with reflected intersecting semicircular glazing
bars, and side windows with glazing bars; the outer bays each have 3 windows
at ground floor, to the left, two 12-pane sashes, to the right, 2 square 12-
pane tilting casements; and on each side, between these, one very small 2-
pane window; at 1st floor, the centre has two 12-pane sashes, and the outer
bays have large 20-pane sashes. The parapet to the centre incorporates a
large tablet inscribed:-
