School with integral master's house, now parish centre. Early to mid C19;
altered. Coursed squared sandstone, graduated stone slate roof. H-plan.
Single storey except for master's house in right crosswing, which is
2-storeyed to same height. Gothic style. Symmetrical; three-bay main range
with small lean-to in centre, a window of 3 narrow cusped lights each side,
and in the angle with right wing a buttressed porch with moulded arched
doorway and ogival gable terminating with a crocket. Gable of left wing has
mullioned windows of 3 lights at ground floor and 2 lights above, both with
cusped recesses in the lintel over the lights. Rear altered and interior
undergoing renovation or alteration at time of survey (1986).
