Farmhouse. Early to mid-C18, with C19 additions. Handmade red brick in
stretcher bond, stone slate roof. T-plan: shallow double-depth with rear
wing. C19 wing to left. Two storeys and 3 bays, symmetrical (except for
added wing); pedimented centre breaking forwards slightly has segmental-
headed doorway with 6-panel door (upper panels glazed); 2 windows at ground
floor and 3 above, and one on each floor of gabled left wing, all boxed
8-pane sashes with unusual horizontal-rectangular panes. Hipped roof,
chimney at left end of main range. Rear: gabled 1 1/2 storey dairy wing with
mostly altered openings including blocked round-headed window at 1st floor;
rear wall of main range has segmental-headed cross-windows with small panes
and horizontal sliding sashes in one light; both parts have stone band.

Interior: dog-leg staircase with closed string, ramped handrail; panelled
wig-room at 1st floor.
