Oaklands, about 60 metres north
west of house

Summer house. Early C18. Ashlar, stone tiled hipped roof with finial
missing, weathered stack with cornice to rear left set at an angle to roof
ridge. Square plan. Front has 2 steps up to central 6-panelled door in
bolection moulded architrave under open segmental pediment with knob set in
tympanum on moulded, beaded brackets, moulded sides to architrave, plinth,
rusticated V-jointed quoins, continuous cornice. Other 3 sides have central
bay broken forward containing a sash with bolectionmoulded head, moulded
architrave and cill. Interior: dado panelling and wooden chimney-piece with
shell and leaf carved brackets.
